Nimonic 75 (N06075): composition, properties, fittings and flanges
Nimonic 75 (N06075, W. Nr. 2.4951, GB GH3030) is Solid-solution strengthened nickel-chromium high-temperature alloy. Nimonic 75 is specified at Nickel Balance, Chromium 18.0 - 21.0, Titanium 0.20 - 0.60. Nimonic 75 is the simplest alloy in the Nimonic family: no gamma-prime hardening, just a clean Ni-20Cr matrix with titanium,…

Mechanical properties
| Tensile strength, min (treated bar) | 750 MPa / 109 ksi |
|---|---|
| 0.2 % yield strength, min | 275 MPa / 40 ksi |
| Elongation in 2 in, min | 30 % |

Product forms available
Hangbo supplies this grade in the following forms. Sizes outside the listed range can often be produced to order.
- Forged flanges blanks and finished flanges to ASME B16.5, B16.47 Series A/B and B16.36
- Butt weld elbows, tees, reducers, caps and stub ends to ASME B16.9 and MSS SP-43
- Seamless pipe and tube to the applicable ASTM / ASME pipe specification
- Forged rings, discs and hubs machined to your drawing
Typical applications
- Gas turbine shrouds, combustion casings and exhaust components
- Furnace fixtures, heat treatment trays and radiant tube hangers
- Sheet metal fabrications for service up to about 815 °C
- Bellows, expansion joints and high-temperature fasteners
Welding, forming and machining
- Welding
- Weld by GTAW, GMAW or resistance methods using ERNiCr-3 filler. Clean thoroughly, keep heat input moderate and stress relieve after heavy welding on constrained fabrications.
- Heat treatment
- Solution anneal at 1050 - 1080 °C and air cool. Stress relieve at about 850 °C where dimensional stability is required after fabrication.
- Hot and cold forming
- Hot work in the range stated by the mill for this grade, then re-solution or re-age before final machining so that the delivered condition matches the certificate.
- Machining
- Machine with sharp carbide or high-speed steel tooling, positive rake, constant feed and ample coolant. Never dwell - the surface work-hardens quickly.
